Is Myoptica an authorized reseller of Zeiss magnifying products? Myoptica is the sole authorized distributor of Zeiss low-vision products in North America. This may not be true of every retailer you encounter on the web. When you order from Myoptica, you can be assured that you will not be receiving" grey-market" goods, unauthorized imports, surplus inventory, seconds, etc.

As a result, our customers can expect to receive the latest production items of the highest quality, protected by the most comprehensive Zeiss warranty available for each type of product.

What warranty does Zeiss carry on their magnifying aids? All Zeiss magnifying aids, such as hand magnifiers, folding loupes, frame-mounted and visor loupes, have a 1-year limited warranty for defects in material and workmanship (damage resulting from abuse by the user is not covered).

Wearing parts, such as carrying straps, protective caps, rubber eyecups, rubber armoring, pouches and cases have a 1 year warranty from date of purchase

What is behind the outstanding reputation of Zeiss magnifiers? For over 150 years, the Carl Zeiss name has been synonymous with the ultimate in lens technology - from hand magnifiers, binoculars and monocular telescopes, camera lenses, and personal eye wear - to world-renowned research microscopes, ophthalmic instruments, and industrial inspection equipment. The Zeiss label denotes a proud history of total commitment to quality and innovation.

Many of the most important innovations in the history of optics have come from Zeiss laboratories. In the 19th century, famous Zeiss scientist Ernst Abbe provided the theoretical basis for remarkable improvements in the power and resolution of microscope optics - Zeiss then applied high-precision volume manufacturing techniques to microscope production, giving life-science researchers worldwide an unprecedented view of the world of cells and microbes.

During the first half of the 20th century, Zeiss cameras were the most sought-after instruments for photographers everywhere (Zeiss still provides its fine lenses to the most prestiguous camera makers in the world, including Contax, Hasselblad, and, for digital cameras and camcorders, Sony). And of course, after more than a century of innovation and quality workmanship, a pair of Zeiss binoculars remains the most valued personal optical instrument in the world.

Zeiss' consumer visual aids are manufactured with the same expertise and craftsmanship as their most cutting-edge scientific products. Zeiss has continually introduced advanced optical technology to the consumer market - from their famous T* anti-reflective coatings for unmatched low-light performance in binoculars, to durable lightweight polymer lens materials for eyewear and magnifiers, to aspheric lens shapes whose curvature is optimized to bring all the light that passes through them to a sharp focus.

For whatever purpose they are applied, Zeiss lenses provide the user with the ultimate in clarity and value.

How is my credit card information protected when I buy from myoptica.com? Myoptica has partnered with Verisign Corporation, the world's largest and most reliable online payment gateway to handle credit card transactions for Visa, Mastercharge, Discover and American Express. When you place an order with myoptica.com, we will record your name, shipping address, and which items you wish to buy. You will then be connected directly to Verisign's web site, where you will enter your credit card number. Verisign will quickly check your information and authorize your purchase.

Because we value our customers' security, your credit card number is never requested, transferred or stored on the myoptica.com website. And we will never send you any e-mails or messages asking you for sensitive credit card information.

Are there other payment options besides using my credit card online? If you prefer not to make your credit card payment online, Myoptica will accept payments by check or you can phone in your credit card information. Send us an e-mail at the address listed on our" contact myoptica" page, list the desired items, your phone number, and the best time to call you during the day. We will call you back to take the credit card information over the phone, or give you instructions on sending a personal check for the purchase amount. However, this method may delay the shipment of your order up to 3 days for a credit card taken over the phone, and up to 10 days for a check received by mail. Read more about payment options ...

If a product I order does not meet my needs, how do I return it to Myoptica? If you wish to return an item to myoptica for any reason, you must first obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number from us. To obtain this RA number, you may contact us by e-mail or by phone at the addresses or phone numbers listed in the How to Contact Myoptica section (use the" about myoptica" tab on the home page to take you to our contact information).

Tell us your name, the order number which is printed on your packing slip, which item you wish to return, and the reason for the return (defective item, exchange for a different item, or return for refund). Within one business day of your request, we will e-mail you a shipping label with our return address and an RA number that you can print out and attach to the outside of your return package. Please note that for your protection and ours, we cannot accept any returned package which does not have a Return Authorization Number marked on its label.
